Brillenträger

Von Soest’s only known signed painting is the many paneled piece that hangs in the Niederwildungen Parish Church, dated around 1404. There are other works attributed to him that are housed in churches in both Dortmund and Soest. Because so little is known about this great master and what he could have created, the possibility for one of his nearly 600 year old paintings to surface somewhere is great.
