Niclas Lafrensen was an 18th century Rococo French painter. He studied under his father in Stockholm and attended the Swedish Academy.
Lafrensen lived and worked in Paris from 1762-1769 where he worked primarily as a miniaturist. He was commissioned in 1769 to return to Stockholm where he created miniatures for the court.
